Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
USDA program supporting snacks and meals for low-income, homeless and other qualified children and adults.
National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
USDA program that offers schools cash subsidies and donated commodities for each meal they serve in return for serving lunches that meet Federal requirements and offering free or reduced price lunches to eligible children. Snacks served to children through age 18 in afterschool educational or enrichment programs are also reimbursable.
School Breakfast Program (SBP)
The School Breakfast Program operates by supporting breakfasts in the same manner as the National School Lunch Program.
Special Milk Program (SMP)
Participating schools and institutions receive reimbursement from the USDA for each half pint of milk served. They must operate their milk programs on a non-profit basis and agree to use the Federal reimbursement to reduce the selling price of milk to all children.
Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
SFSP is a USDA program that combines a feeding program with summer activity programs to fill the gap left when NSLP ends with the regular school year.
