School Division Applications
Virginia received over $9 million through the federal School Improvement Grants (SIG) program (1003a) to raise student achievement in the commonwealth’s persistently lowest achieving schools. These funds are part of the $3.5 billion in school-improvement funding made available to states in the 2009 federal budget and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
