- The following Spring 2007 Standards of Learning (SOL) tests will not be released in Spring 2008 for the following reasons:
- Grade 8 Science - Revised SOL in science were adopted by the Virginia Board of Education in 2003. Due to significant revisions of the grade 6 science SOL, a new test blueprint was developed for the cumulative grade 8 science test. The grade 8 science tests developed from the revised test blueprint will be administered for the first time in spring 2008. Because the spring 2007 grade 8 science test was developed using a different blueprint, it is not being released to avoid confusion for students and educators who might use the released tests to prepare for the spring 2008 test administration.
- Grade 8 Cumulative History - Based on the revisions made to the Standards of Quality by the 2007 Virginia General Assembly, the grade 8 cumulative history test is being phased out in the 2007 - 2008 school year.
