Service-Learning Leader Schools Initiative for Middle and High Schools |
The National
Service-Learning Leader Schools program is a national initiative that
recognizes middle and high schools for excellence in service-learning and is
sponsored by the Corporation for National Service.
Middle and
high schools in the United States, Indian Tribes, and the U. S. Territories are
eligible to apply for this national recognition. Schools must serve the community and demonstrate a high quality
of service-learning at the school level.
The National
Service-Learning Leader Schools program recognizes middle schools and high
schools for their exemplary efforts to integrate student service into
curricular activities. The middle
school category includes junior high schools and serves any combination of
grades 5-9. A high school is defined as
serving grades 9-12.

may be requested from the Office of Adult Education and Literacy by calling

for a middle school application.
Applications are due January 16, 2002, and should be submitted to:
