Social Science Sample Scope and Sequence Guides |
In the spring of 2001 the Virginia Department of Education developed sample scope and sequence guides for English, mathematics, and science in kindergarten through grade eight and in core high school courses as an additional resource to help school divisions develop curricula aligned to the 1995 Standards of Learning in those content areas. Sample history and social science scope and sequence guides that have been aligned with the 2001 History and Social Science Standards of Learning were announced last week via Superintendents Informational Memorandum, No. 34, March 8, 2002, and they have now been added to the Department of Educations website at: http://www.pen.k12.va.us/VDOE/Instruction/solscope/.
