On behalf of the Virginia Department of Education and the Board of Education, it is my pleasure to announce that Governor Mark R. Warner has signed a Certificate of Recognition declaring the first week of November 2002, as Virginia Principals Appreciation Week. I hope that your community will join me in acknowledging the tireless efforts of school principals across the state. You work diligently to help students and teachers excel, and your leadership and hard work are essential to the success of our schools. You deserve all the recognition and praise we can give you.
