Andrews Air Force Base Joint Service Open House
Invitation |
The Secretary of Defense will host the annual Joint
Service Open House (JSOH) held at Andrews Air Force Base (AAFB) on Friday, May
18, 2007, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. with installation gates opening at 8
a.m. The JSOH is an observance set aside
to commemorate the Armed Forces and Armed Forces Day. This joint venture includes elements from the
United States Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. The program consists of aerial and static
displays, exhibits, special demonstrations, and military band concerts.
If your school is interested in attending this
commemoration of our armed forces, please respond by Monday, April 2, 2007, by
e-mailing the AAFB School Liaison Officer, Ms. Cynthia Nunes-Taijeron
at 316MSS.SLO@Andrews.af.mil. Please include your schools name, address,
telephone number, and the name of school point of contact with a cell phone
number and e-mail address. Please include
an estimated number of students and chaperones who are planning to attend.
Please complete the attached Bus Driver and
Chaperone Roster (attachment A) and the Student, Chaperone, and School Roster
(attachment B), which provides detailed information concerning individuals who
plan to attend the JSOH, and submit them to Ms. Cynthia Nunes-Taijeron,
the AAFB School Liaison Officer at 316MSS.SLO@Andrews.af.mil
by Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Faxed material
will not be accepted. This information
will be required for admittance to the base and is vital not only for security
purposes but in the event a child becomes separated from his/her group.
Once the School Liaison
Officer receives school point of contact information, the Bus Driver and
Chaperone Roster, and the Student, Chaperone, and School Roster, you will
receive bus procedures, security policies, and other instructions for the
event. Should you have any questions
