SUBJECT:	United States Young Aviation Artist Contest

 

The Brewer Trophy Aviation Education Association (BTAEA) and the American Society of Aviation Artists (ASAA) announce the 2008 United States Young Aviation Artist Contest.  The focus of this year's program, Design an Aviation Stamp, will provide participating students an opportunity to learn through research and to enjoy the expression of their artistic abilities.

 

Entries will be awarded in three classes:  Group I, date of birth between January 1, 1998, and December 31, 2001; Group II, date of birth between January 1, 1994, and December 31, 1997; and Group III, date of birth between January 1, 1990, and December 31, 1993.  The winners in each age group will receive first-, second-, and third-place certificates.

 

Submitted entries will become the property of the Brewer Trophy Aviation Education Association and will be used for a variety of purposes for the promotion and awareness of aviation education.  The deadline for all entries is February 29, 2008, by 5 p.m. Eastern Time Zone, The Brewer Trophy Aviation Education Association, 1001 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Suite 600, Washington, D.C. 20004.  For additional information, go to the BTAEA website at http://www.brewertrophy.org/ or contact Cheryle C.
