The House of Delegates Clerk's Office is pleased to announce the sixth annual Statewide Essay Contest for all high school juniors. The purpose of this contest is to offer an opportunity for students to conduct research and share their opinions on a topic related to

One winner will be selected and will be invited to spend one day at the Virginia State Capitol during the 2009 session with his or her representative in the Virginia House of Delegates. The winner will be presented with a $500 United States Savings Bond and a framed certificate. The deadline is December 1, 2008.
