SUBJECT: Professional Development Opportunities from SURN (School-University Research Network)
The School University Research Network at the College of William and Mary is hosting two professional development events this spring, both in Williamsburg, VA:
- Hiring the Best: What Works & What Doesn’t in Teacher Selection, March 20, 2009
This workshop is designed for professionals involved in the teacher selection process with an emphasis on the building level interview. Principals, assistant principals, and teacher leaders are the target audience. Human resources directors will find the resources applicable in their work to screen candidates and support the building level interviews. The registration deadline is March 6, 2009. Additional information is available in the attachment to this message.
- The National Leadership Academy, June 21-29, 2009
This academy provides administrators, aspiring administrators and teacher leaders with resources and tools to build leadership skills and improve teaching and learning.
