SUBJECT:  Bullying Prevention and School Climate, Save-the-Date: June 20, 2012

The Virginia Department of Education has joined with the Virginia Department of Health, Safe Schools/Healthy Students of Charlottesville-Albemarle, and Youth-Nex at the University of Virginia to provide a day of professional development for administrators, educators, and student support personnel on bullying prevention in the promotion of a healthy school climate.  National and state experts on bullying prevention and school climate will share their research and expertise in helping schools and school divisions move toward implementation of effective school practices designed to reduce bullying.

Final details regarding this day-long event at the Martin Luther King Performing Arts Center at Charlottesville High School will be forthcoming, please save the date and look for registration information in the beginning of April.
