SUBJECT:  Foreign Language Teachers Workshop Series

The Foreign Language Association of Virginia (FLAVA) and Washington and Lee University (WLU) are pleased to announce The Foreign Language Teachers Workshop Series (FLTWS) for the 2014-2015 school year.  Four workshops are slated beginning in October and continuing through March. 

The FLTWS lineup for 2014-2015 is being held on the campus of Washington and Lee University, and will also be broadcast live via the Internet to a number of locations throughout the Commonwealth, including colleges, universities, public school divisions, and private schools.  Times of broadcasts will always be from 4-6 p.m. on workshop days.

October 14, 2014:       All Things Considered: Language Classroom Edition
November 13, 2014:   Skills-Centric Teaching
February 12, 2015:      Score Big with Strong Language Goals
March 26, 2015:          Setting and Monitoring Learning Targets: Getting Educators and Learners on the Same Page

Foreign language teachers may register and select a host site location via the Internet at  These workshops are free of charge and certificates of participation will be provided.
