Reimbursement for State Special Education Categorical
Funds Period Ending April 30, 1996 |
The enclosed form is to be used when applying for categorical funds when divisions have added a new early childhood special education program after the start of the 1995-96 school year. - Application for Supplemental Funds to Assist New Early Childhood Special Education Programs for the Handicapped Instructions relating to the completion of the above mentioned form are located on the back of the form. In the event that "NO" State funds are being requested for the above listed category for this specific period, please sign and mark the space indicating that no new early childhood special education programs were added and return it as indicated. Reimbursement from State Special Education funds is based on compliance with regulations of the Board of Education governing the disbursement of such funds as certified by the division superintendent. All forms must be submitted in duplicate. The completed documents should be returned no later than May 31, 1996, and sent directly to: Linda S. WCBJR/lb Enclosure INSTRUCTIONS FORM: APPLICATION FOR SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDS TO ASSIST NEW EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS (PRESCHOOL HANDICAPPED) Funds are available on a pro-rata basis to assist school divisions who added new early childhood special education programs after the start of the 1995-96 school year. To apply for these funds, please complete the form on the reverse side of these instructions. In order to be eligible for these funds, all classes must be operating in accordance with early childhood special education program requirements and must have been in operation on or before April 30, 1996. Categorical early childhood special education programs serving students with hearing impairments are eligible for these funds. (Hard copy of the form is being mailed to the Division Superintendent's office.)
