To assist the Department in determining how to best provide technical assistance in nutrition and the sciences for science teachers, the School Nutrition Programs is implementing a statewide needs assessment. Lumina Training Associates, a consulting firm specializing in human resource development for Child Nutrition Programs, is conducting the survey. A questionnaire designed to obtain opinions regarding nutrition education and its integration in the science curriculum will be sent to the science curriculum directors. We are asking all science curriculum directors in Virginia to participate in this survey. Questionnaires will be kept confidential. The results of this statewide survey will be reported in general trends without identifying individuals or school divisions.
