SUBJECT:	The Revised Virginia Plan for the Gifted

Enclosed is a revised copy of the Virginia Plan for the Gifted. 
This document has been updated to serve as a technical assistance
guide for your staff in the interpretation of the regulations and
for the delivery of program services for gifted students in your
locality. The completed document was revised with the assistance
of the Virginia Advisory Committee for Gifted Education,
representing public and private school educational professionals,
higher education faculty, parents, and members of the business
community.  

Under separate cover, a copy of this document will be mailed to
your gifted program administrator. Additional copies of the
Virginia Plan for the Gifted can be obtained by contacting Joy L.
