SUBJECT:	IDEA, Part B Grants for 1996-97

  We anticipate that the per pupil amount for the Part B Flow
  Through Grant for 1996-97 will be less than the 1995-96
  amount.  Based on the information we currently have
  available, we are projecting the amount to be $375 per
  pupil. The per pupil amount for the 1995-96 award was $382.
  
  We will issue the Grant Awards to the local school divisions
  upon receipt of the Grant Award from USDOE.
