TO: | Division Superintendents |
FROM:
|
Richard T. La Pointe
Superintendent of Public Instruction |
SUBJECT:
|
Initial Verification and/or Correction of 1995-96 OAP
and Physical Fitness Data |
Information sent by school divisions to the Department of Education as part of the Outcome Accountability Project (OAP) and the school level physical fitness reports will soon be sent back to school divisions for correction and/or verification. The OAP data were submitted to the Department under Supts. Memo #25, dated May 3, 1996. The physical fitness data were submitted as the annual school level fitness reports. The OAP data collection contains only that information used in the OAP report which could not be obtained from existing department reports. Materials to complete this process will be sent directly to the OAP contact person designated by the division superintendent. The OAP contact will receive the data for each school with specific instructions for verification and/or correction. These materials will be sent to school divisions over the next few weeks. OAP contact persons will be instructed to review the data, make corrections as necessary, and return corrections and verifications to the Department of Education. The verification form requires the signature of the division superintendent. This memo is to alert superintendents to this impending correction/verification activity. This represents the first step in the development of the 1997 OAP report. Should you have questions regarding this part of the OAP process or OAP in general, please contact a member of the OAP team at (804) 786-1390 or (804) 225-2107. RTL/mwc
