SUBJECT: Payment of State Funds for the National School Lunch Program

  
  The state reimbursement for the National School Lunch
  Program for 1996-97 will be paid by Electronic Fund Transfer
  (EFT) on or around November 29, 1996.  Attached is a list of
  the payments that will be made.  These payments reflect any
  upward or downward adjustments which were made in the number
  of lunches claimed during 1995-96.
  
  In accordance with Federal regulations, this payment is
  based on the number of reimbursable lunches served to
  children during school year 1995-96.  The reimbursement rate
  is approximately .058522867 per reimbursable lunch.  Funds
  earned by individual SNP Units may be calculated using the
  data from monthly electronic claims, plus or minus
  adjustments, times this rate.
