To facilitate the preparation of this report, we have enclosed the following documents: I. Form for reporting Combined Term Graduates for each secondary school in your division for the 1996-97 school year II. A schedule of events for the graduate data collection III. General instructions for preparing the Report of Combined Term Graduates IV. A list of "Frequently Asked Questions" V. Edit/check list to assist you in preparing the report VI. LPT (Literacy Passport Test) information on requirements for advanced and standard diplomas Identification of each school division's contact person for 1996-97 should be indicated on page 3 of the form for the Report of Combined Term Graduates. This information will also be requested in the School Administration data collection in July 1997. The 1996-97 report of graduates is a single report to determine the total number of high school graduates for the 1996-97 regular term and the 1997 summer term. The combined form should be completed and returned to the Department of Education no later than Wednesday, August 27, 1996. If your school has no graduates, return the school form marked "NONE." If there are no summer graduates to be reported, the report should be completed for only the regular term and may be returned to the Department prior to the due date. To avoid duplicate reporting, the form should not be completed for centers (vocational/technical, special education, alternative education, etc.) to which students who are officially enrolled at other schools travel to receive specialized instruction or training. Each contact person for the Report of Graduates should coordinate the collection of the forms for each school in the division and submit them to the Department by the due date.
