ADMINISTRATIVE

  Copies of the 1996-97 Driver Education Status Questionnaire,
  the 1997-98 Driver Education Program Approval Application,
  and a requisition form for driver education materials are
  being sent to each high school principal.  Any assistance
  with the collection and return of this data to the
  Department of Education by June 30, 1997, would be greatly
  appreciated.

  The Status Questionnaire information will determine your per
  pupil in-car driver education  state reimbursement amount. 
  The additional program information included on the form will
  be compiled into a state-wide report and available upon
  request.

  The Driver Education Program Approval Application should be
  completed by each school planning to conduct an in-car
  and/or classroom driver education program during the 1997-98
  school year.  New schools will be issued a school code and
  any program or staff changes reported on the form will be
  communicated to the Department of Motor Vehicles.  In
  addition, please provide the place and date of
  paraprofessional driver education in-service training as
  required by the Code of Virginia.
