SUBJECT: Final Innovative Education Program Strategies, Title VI, IASA Entitlements

  
  Virginia has received notification of the 1997-98 grant
  award for Title VI, Innovative Education Program Strategies,
  in the amount of $6,903,342.  Attached is a listing by
  school divisions of the final Title VI entitlements for
  1997-98.

  If you have not submitted your application for Title VI
  funds, you are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. 
  Please remember that the encumbrance date in a division's
  grant award letter cannot predate the receipt of the
  application in approvable form in the Office of Compensatory
  Programs.

  Questions about the completion of the Title VI application
  should be addressed to the specialist assigned to your
  school division.  You may also contact Mr. George Irby,
  Director, Office of Compensatory Programs, at (804) 225-2869
  for assistance.
