SUBJECT:	Reimbursement for Continued Service Provisions to Students with Disabilities on Long-Term Suspensions or Expulsion Under Option I

  All requests for reimbursement of services provided to
  students with disabilities who have been properly suspended or
  expelled and were served as Option I students must be
  submitted to the Department of Education by May 26, 1997. 
  Funds will not be available to the Department in the next
  fiscal year for continued service provision to these students. 
  Request for reimbursements must be submitted by the deadline
  in order to assure that you will receive rembursement for the
  Option 1 students.  The Department is unable to guarantee that
  any request received after May 26, 1997, will be paid.
