Office for Civil Rights' Interpretations of Requirements Related to
Sexual Harassment in Schools |
The Office for Civil Rights has issued a document in the Federal Register entitled: Office for Civil Rights; Sexual Harassment Guidance; Harassment of Students by School Employees, Other Students, or Third Parties; Notice. Since sexual harassment in schools may be the subject of a discrimination complaint under the Department's discrimination complaints procedures, and/or with the Office for Civil Rights, I am providing you with a copy of this federal interpretation of requirements. Questions about the content of the document should be referred to your school board attorney. Questions about the Department's discrimination complaints procedures may be referred to Dr. Thomas A.
