| SUBJECT: | Availability of Information Related to School Health Programs |
This is to advise you of the availability of two publications related to school health services and programs. The document School Nursing Services: A Summary of School Nursing Services Personnel and Selected School Health Services Components in Virginia's Public Schools for the 1996-97 School Year, provides data on nurses employed in Virginia public schools. The report was implemented under the leadership of the Virginia Department of Health and reflects information provided by each local school division in the Commonwealth. The Virginia School Health Education Profile provides a summary of health education in middle and high schools in Virginia. This report was prepared by the Center for Outcomes Research and Data Analysis, College of Nursing and Health Science, George Mason University, under the leadership of the Department of Education. Funding for this study was provided through the Department's cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control.
