The 1997 General Assembly, through Item 135 #1c of the Appropriations Act requested that a report of programs and activities dealing with the management of student conduct available through the Department of Education be prepared and distributed to local superintendents and local school board chairs. The programs and activities on the attached list are specific to the mission of the School Safety Resource Center, which is to promote school safety and prevent youth violence. It should be noted that the Department also provides technical assistance in other areas that may be tangentially related to the management of student conduct.
