| SUBJECT: | Title IV: Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Fiscal Year 1997-98 Progress Report |
Section 4117 of the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (SDFSCA) requires the collection of information about state and local implementation of the SDFSCA. States are required to submit information on state and local programs conducted with assistance furnished through the SDFSCA. Information from school divisions is required for inclusion in the Virginia report to the United States Department of Education. Two copies of the progress report for the fiscal year 1997 (July 1, 1997-June 30, 1998), must be submitted to the Department of Education no later than August 7, 1998.
