| SUBJECT: | 1998-2000 Funded SOQ Instructional Positions |
Supts. Memo. No. 1 (Regulatory) dated March 19, 1998, and Supts. Memo No. 3 (Regulatory) dated May 8, 1998, provided information on the 1998-2000 Aid to Localities appropriations approved by the General Assembly for the Standards of Quality (SOQ) accounts. A significant portion of these appropriations represents the state share of the cost for the SOQ instructional positions calculated for each school division. Attachment A provides a brief narrative outlining the methodology used in calculating the funded SOQ instructional positions. In addition, Attachment B provides the 1996-97 student enrollment data, instructional staffing levels, and 1998-2000 funded instructional positions calculated for each locality.
