SUBJECT: 1998 Virginia State Project EdTech Report (Quality Education Data Survey) 

  
  In Superintendent's Memorandum Number 24, the Department
  of Education (DOE) requested your assistance in
  completing an educational technology survey developed in
  cooperation with Quality Education Data (QED).  This is
  the second year that DOE has gathered information with
  QED.  One survey was sent to each school division's
  central office and a second survey was sent to schools. 
  QED received 70 completed surveys from school divisions
  and 964 completed surveys from schools.  The return rate
  for each survey was approximately 50 percent.

  Enclosed for your information and reveiw is a copy of the
  1998 Virginia State Project EdTech Report.
