| SUBJECT: | Payment of State Funds for the National School Lunch Program for School Year 1998-99 |
The state reimbursement for the National School Lunch Program for 1998-99 will be paid by Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)during December 1998 or January 1999. These funds must be credited to the school division's food service account. Attached is a list of the payments that will be made. In accordance with federal regulations, the payment to each division is based on the number of lunch meals claimed for reimbursement during school year 1997-98. The reimbursement rate is approximately $0.0554 per lunch. Funds earned by the school division were calculated using the submitted monthly electronic claims data, plus or minus any adjustments, multiplied by the state reimbursement rate.
