SUBJECT: | Report: Age-Appropriate Techniques to Improve the Memory of Students |
HJR 678, passed by the 1999 General Assembly, requested the Department of Education to study age-appropriate techniques to improve the memory of students. A document resulting from this study is enclosed. The document was specifically written for supervisors and instructional specialists to help them develop curricula that are compatible with the findings of neuroscientists, psychologists, and cognitive researchers about memory's role in student learning. A copy of this study will be sent to the individual who is responsible for instruction in your school division.
