The Department of Education is pleased to provide you with funding information pertaining to the Title II, Dwight D. Eisenhower Professional Development grant for the FY 2000Ė2001 application. The Eisenhower funds are distributed to school divisions for the primary purpose of providing professional development activities to teachers and other professional staff in support of the implementation of the Standards of Learning in four core subjects. School divisions wishing to receive funding under the Eisenhower Title II Grant must submit an application to the Department of Education by September 30, 2000. (School divisionís applying for Title II funds under the Consolidated Local Application should use the entitlement figures listed on the attachment in their Consolidated Application budget. Additionally, the divisionís professional development plans for use of Eisenhower funds should be included in the divisionís response to Question III on Professional Development in Part A of the Consolidated Application Narrative.)
