SUBJECT: | 4-SAFE-VA Workshop Opportunities |
Based on continued demand, the Virginia State Police will provide one additional training workshop specifically for education and school personnel, entitled: "School Safety 101: Basic School Safety Training for School Personnel."
This day-long workshop will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2000, at the Monroe Educational Center on Route 29 near Monroe in Amherst County.
In addition, the Virginia State Police have developed a new training workshop entitled: "Bomb Threat Planning and Response for Educational Facilities." This training focuses on up-to-date strategies for preparing and responding to school-related bomb threats.
These half-day workshops will be held in the following locations:
November 17, 2000 Martinsville, Patrick Henry Community College
December 18, 2000 Weyers Cave, Blue Ridge Community College
