SUBJECT: | Request for Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade Classes to Participate in the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) Art Contest |
The Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC), the annual giving campaign for state employees, has requested that school divisions provide third, fourth, and fifth grade classes with the opportunity to participate in the CVC Art Contest. The CVC plans to showcase the winning artwork statewide through posters, video, and website. The theme for the campaign is “Opening our Hearts to Help Others.” The CVC asks that students submit art that conveys these words.
The CVC would like for each school division to submit two entries to the contest. The deadline for submission is April 18. Please mail or deliver the entries to CVC, Attention: Janet Brooking, Department of Human Resource Management, 101 North 14th Street, Richmond, Virginia 23219. Please note: it is CVC’s policy not to return artwork; however, special arrangements can be made if necessary.
The CVC raises more than $3 million annually for charities throughout Virginia. More than 600 charities participate in the program.
