SUBJECT: | Individual Student Alternative Education Plan Program |
The Virginia Department of Education will make $2,247,581 available in the fiscal year 2001-2002 for reimbursement of expenditures to school divisions with an Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP) Program as set forth in the Code of Virginia §22.1-254.D. These funds are authorized under financial assistance for ISAEP program services by the 2000 Appropriation Act (Chapter 1073, 2000 Acts of Assembly) and are offered contingent upon availability.
Reimbursement for the fiscal year 2001-2002 will be for services for students 16 years of age and older who meet the provisions established in the Code of Virginia and by the Board of Education. A copy of the ISAEP Program Guidelines can be found on the Department of Education website at http://www.pen.k12.va.us/VDOE/Instruction/Adult.
The application for ISAEP funds and the 2001-2002 allocations for school divisions are attached. Please submit your application no later than June 30, 2001. If no program is planned, write on the face of the application form your school division’s name and code, as well as the words "NO PROGRAM IS PLANNED."
