Virginia School Principals Appreciation Week, November
3-9,2002 |
On behalf of the Virginia Department of Education and the
Board of Education, it is my pleasure to announce that Governor Mark R. Warner
has signed a Certificate of Recognition declaring the first week of November
2002, as Virginia Principals Appreciation Week. I hope that you and others
throughout your community will join me in acknowledging the tireless efforts of
our school principals across the state. Our school principals work diligently
to help students and teachers excel, and their leadership and hard work are
essential to the success of our schools. They deserve all the recognition and
praise we can give them.
The full text of the Governor's Certificate of Recognition
announcing Principals Appreciation Week can be found at the Virginia
Association of Secondary School Principals website at http://www.vaprincipal.org. I hope that
you and other officials in your division will celebrate Virginia Principals
Appreciation Week by planning a special community event or some other
appropriate function.
If you have questions about the event, please contact Dr.
Randy D. Barrack, executive director of the Virginia Association of Secondary
School Principals at 804‑288-2777. Thank you for your consideration and
help in getting the word out to your community about Virginia Principals
Appreciation Week.
