SUBJECT:	Autism Spectrum Disorders Grant Award Notification

We are pleased to announce the release of funds to support professional development activities relating to autism spectrum disorders (reference Supts. Memo No. 55 Informational, March 5, 2004). This memorandum serves as the official grant award notification for approved LEA and state-operated program applications listed in the attachment.

The grant period extends from June 1, 2004, through September 30, 2004. Funds must be spent, training and travel completed, and/or materials purchased by September 30, 2004. Reimbursement requests must be submitted by October 29, 2004, to:

The grant award number (contained in attachment) must be referenced in all communications and reimbursement requests relative to this project. Funds may be used only for the activities stipulated in approved applications. Reimbursement for expenditures cannot be honored where program or budget modifications are implemented without prior approval.
