School Attendance
for Children with Human Immunodeficiency Virus |
As required by the Code of
Virginia 22.1-271.3B, each school board shall adopt guidelines for school
attendance for children with human immunodeficiency virus. Such policies shall
be consistent with the attached copy
of the Model Guidelines for School Attendance for Children with Human
Immunodeficiency Virus and the Virginia Department of Healths Guidelines
for Preventing Bloodborne Infections in Schools.
School
divisions are reminded to review and update regularly their policies for school
attendance of children with human immunodeficiency virus. Additionally, if
there are questions about the guidelines you may contact Muriel Azria-Evans,
