of The Development of Geometric Thought through the van Hiele Levels Compact
Disk |
The Virginia Department of Education is pleased to provide school divisions with a compact disk called The Development of Geometric Thought Through the van Hiele Levels.
This addendum to the Geometry Modules for Elementary and Middle School Teachers is intended to support the enhancement of teachers understanding of the development of geometric thought for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. The purpose of the addendum is to give teachers a user-friendly overview of the elements of the van Hiele levels.
The compact disk may be used independently to enhance a teachers understanding or it may be used to support the training described in the Geometry Modules for Elementary and Middle School Teachers.
In May, The Development of Geometric Thought through the van Hiele Levels Compact Disk and a copy of this memo will be mailed to each elementary and middle school in Virginia.
