SUBJECT:	Scientific Calculator Lessons Manual for Middle School Teachers

The Virginia Department of Education is pleased to provide an online manual, Scientific Calculator Lessons, for teachers of students in grades 6 through 8. The manual provides middle school teachers with samples of mathematics and science lessons that support the 2001 Mathematics Standards of Learning and the 2003 Science Standards of Learning using the state-approved scientific calculators. Lessons include the keystrokes for the Texas Instrument, Sharp, and CASIO scientific calculators that have been approved for use on the grades 6-8 mathematics Standards of Learning tests.
