Approved Instructional Intervention Providers to Satisfy Provisions in the
Standards of Accreditation (SOA) |
The Regulations Establishing Standards for
Accrediting Public Schools in Virginia require schools accredited with
warning in English or mathematics to adopt and implement instructional
interventions that have a proven track record of success at raising student
achievement.
On
May 30, 2007, the Board of Education granted the Superintendent of Public
Instruction the authority to act on its behalf to approve Instructional
Intervention providers. Acting on the
Boards authority, on December 12, 2007, the Superintendent of Public
Instruction approved two additions to the list that may be found in Attachment
A.

Prospective providers may continue to apply to the
Virginia Department of Education by submitting a completed Instructional
Intervention application for reading and/or mathematics. The applications may be found on the
