Approved Instructional Intervention Provider to Satisfy Provisions in the
Standards of Accreditation (SOA) |
The Regulations Establishing Standards for
Accrediting Public Schools in Virginia require schools accredited with
warning in English or mathematics to adopt and implement instructional
interventions that have a proven track record of success at raising student
achievement.
On
June 28, 2007, the Board of Education granted the Superintendent of Public
Instruction the authority to act on its behalf to approve Instructional
Intervention providers. Acting on the
Board's authority, on February 26, 2008, the Superintendent of Public
Instruction approved one addition to the list that may be found in Attachment
A.

Prospective providers may continue to apply to the
Virginia Department of Education by submitting a completed Instructional
Intervention application for reading and/or mathematics. The applications may be found on the
