Passing Scores Adopted by the Board
of Education for the Virginia Grade Level Alternative in Science |
On April 24, 2008, the Virginia Board of Education adopted cut scores for the Virginia Grade Level Alternative (VGLA) for grades 3, 5, and 8 in the area of science. The chart below lists the cut scores for levels of proficient and advanced for the science VGLA.
Grade Proficient Advanced
3 88 135
5 83 130
8 91 150
These cut scores will be applicable for collections
based on the 2003 Science Standards of Learning beginning with the spring 2008
administration.
