The 2008 Virginia General Assembly approved House
Bill 1242 to amend and reenact Sections
22.1-296.1,
22.1-296.4,
22.1-307,
and 63.2-1505
of the Code of Virginia, relating to child abuse and neglect crimes and
founded cases and the employment and dismissal of employees. Attached is a copy
of the revisions in the Code of Virginia that become effective July 1,
2008. The amendments are noted by italics
for new language and strikethroughs for deleted language.
