SUBJECT:	2008 Virginia Financial Literacy Summit

 

The Virginia Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy (www.vajumpstart.org) is pleased to announce the 2008 Virginia Financial Literacy Summit on October 14, 2008 at the Richmond Marriott Hotel, 500 E. Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia. Participants will include approximately 300 middle and high school administrators and teachers, businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies, The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. There is no registration fee, and a continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Participants must provide their own lodging, if required. Rooms are available at the Richmond Marriott at $139 per night for reservations made before September 22, 2008 (ask for Virginia Financial Literacy Summit when making reservations).

 

The Summit is designed to bring together Virginia's middle and high school administrators and teachers and the state's leading proponents of financial literacy to hear best practices and receive additional information and training on personal finance topics. The theme for this year's Summit is Jump$tart Your Financial Literacy Toolbox.
