The
Virginia Department of Education is pleased to announce online video training
for the Virginia Online Reading and Algebra I Tutorials. There are significant changes in the tutorial
registration process this year. The
videos are designed to train teachers who are new or previous users of either
tutorial or anyone who will have administrative responsibilities for either
tutorial. The training videos are
available on the Virginia Department of Education website at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/2plus4in2004/tutorial.shtml
and may be used by individuals or groups for training.
The
Virginia Online Reading Tutorial and the Virginia Online Algebra I Tutorial are
offered at no cost to school divisions.
Since their inception in the 2003-2004 school year,
both tutorials have been used effectively by more than 45,000 students to
assist them in earning verified credits in English:
