SUBJECT: Discipline, Crime & Violence Report for School Year 2008-2009

The purpose of this memo is to provide information about final submission of collected data on discipline, crime, and violence in public schools for the 2008-2009 school year. Data submitted will meet the reporting requirements for the following:

The data collection process remains the same. The data submitted will include the regular 2008-2009 school year, the data from summer school programs for 2007-2008, and all 2008-2009 regional centers/programs data.

The closing date for submission for the regular schools and regional centers/programs data will be July 31, 2009. It is important that the reports be submitted on or before the due date.

The database for the Discipline, Crime and Violence (DCV) 2008-2009 report will be closed on July 31, 2009. The database for the DCV 2009-2010 report will be opened on August 1, 2009.
