A Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) training will be held Friday, October 22, 2010, at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville, Virginia. This training will provide a basic understanding of the four phases of emergency management planning: prevention-mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. This training is being sponsored by the United States Department of Education REMS Technical Assistance Center in conjunction with the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center. School divisions are encouraged to send a representative or school emergency management/crisis teams.
