SUBJECT: Release of Spring 2012 Standards of Learning Tests in Spring 2013
The Virginia Department of Education is planning to release the following spring 2012 Standards of Learning (SOL) tests in spring 2013:
- Grade 3 History
- Virginia Studies
- U.S. History to 1865
- U.S. History: 1865 to the Present
- Civics and Economics
- World History and Geography to 1500 A.D. (C.E.)
- World History and Geography: 1500 to the Present A.D. (C.E.)
- World Geography
- Virginia and U.S. History
Due to the potential impact of releasing tests on the item bank, the spring 2012 reading, writing, science, and mathematics tests will not be released in spring 2013. It generally takes at least two years after tests based on new revised SOL are administered before a full release of a test may occur. Please see the tentative release schedule below:
