I am pleased to bring to your attention the 2013 National Teachers Hall of Fame recognition program. Over the past 20 years, the National Teachers Hall of Fame (NTHF) has recognized exceptional PreK-12 teachers through a museum, a teacher resource center, and a recognition program that honors five of the nation's most outstanding PreK-12 educators each year. The NTHF is dedicated to recognizing career teachers, to preserving and promoting education, and to serving our country by inspiring others to enter the teaching profession.
A national selection committee representing educational organizations, NTHF membership, and corporate America consider nominations from a pool of licensed public or nonpublic teachers, active or retired, who have at least 20 years of full-time experience teaching in grades PreK-12. Induction activities occur annually in Emporia, Kansas.
Applications for nominees for the 2013 induction class for the National Teachers Hall of Fame are now being accepted by NTHF. All nominations must be submitted to NTHF on the official nomination form which may be obtained by calling 1-800-96-TEACH or by downloading it from the NTHF Web site. The application must be postmarked by January 2, 2013.
For questions about the nomination process, please refer to the NTHF Web site or call 1-800-96-TEACH.
