A Coaching Academy (http://cta.jmu.edu/academy/2017/coaching
) and Athletic Administrators' Academy
(http://cta.jmu.edu/academies
) are being offered this year as part of James Madison University's Summer Content Teaching Academy (CTA). Each Academy is a series of interactive sessions meant to help individuals apply concepts in practice.
The CTA sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 26, and conclude at noon on Friday, June 30. On Monday-Thursday, the daily schedule is setup much like a 4x4 block schedule, with two 1.5 hour sessions in the morning and two 1.5 hour sessions in the afternoon. Registration for the Academy is $440 ($395 if registered by Friday, May 19, 2017).
Participants can also enroll in a CTA for graduate credit that includes attending two additional sessions scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday evenings and completing post-Academy projects. The graduate credit fee is $330 (in state).
